Trip to Tatajuba

Last week my parents were here visiting me in Brazil. We decided to go on a buggy tour to Tatajuba, which is a fairly large lagoon that you can windsurf on.
The trip there is along the beach and includes a ferry crossing where locals push a small wooden barge with your buggy on top across to the other side. It also includes a passage through an abandoned town; it was buried 15 years ago by the moving sand dunes on the NE coast of Brazil. About 130 fisherman families use to live there.
The actual lagoon at Tatajuba is beautiful. You cross over a small sand dune and see what looks like a big blue lake. It was very refreshing to sail in fresh and fairly flat water. A small restaurant is right on the edge of the lagoon. It includes seats and hammocks that are half submerged under the water. My friends made a couple videos of me while they were waiting for their fresh fish and shrimp. I uploaded them to youtube. Check them out here:
